Cookie policy.

Last updated: 29 September 2026

The short version.

This website uses a small number of cookies to help us understand how people find us and which pages they read. They stay switched off until you agree to them. If you decline, the site works exactly as it did before and we simply do not measure your visit.

We do not use cookies to identify you personally, we do not sell data to anybody, and we do not use them to build a profile of you across the internet.

This site is separate from the clearCase and clearVoice applications. Nothing described on this page applies to the software itself. Case records, reports raised through clearVoice and anything else held in the applications are never shared with analytics providers and are covered by a separate agreement with your employer.

What a cookie is.

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise the same browser on a later page or a later visit. Some other storage in your browser works the same way and is treated the same way in law, even though it is not technically a cookie. Both are covered by this policy.

What we use, and why.

We group these into three. Essential cookies are always on, analytics cookies are your choice, and we do not use advertising cookies at all.

Essential

Needed for the site to behave properly. These cannot be turned off, because without them the site cannot remember what you told it.

NameWhat it doesHow long
clearhr_consentRemembers the cookie choices you made here, so we stop asking180 days
clearhr_attrRemembers which advert or link brought you to the site, so a demo booking can be traced back to it. Cleared when you close the browserThis visit only

Analytics

Google Analytics, so we can see which pages are read, which are ignored, and roughly where visitors came from. We look at this in totals rather than individually. Nothing is set unless you agree.

NameWhat it doesHow long
_gaTells one browser apart from another, so a returning visitor is not counted twice2 years
_ga_DXN7EL34HGKeeps track of a single visit from one page to the next2 years

Advertising

We do not use advertising cookies, and the cookie banner does not offer them. Nothing in this category is set, whatever you choose. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before anything is set.

Changing your mind.

You can change your choices at any time, and it takes effect immediately.

We will ask again after 180 days regardless, so a decision you made months ago does not stand forever. You can also clear cookies through your own browser settings, which works whatever any website tells you.

If you say no.

Declining is a real choice and not a grudging one. Google's tags stay loaded but are held in a state where they set no cookies and cannot recognise you, so we learn nothing about your visit beyond the fact that a page was served. No feature of this site is withheld from you for declining.

Who to ask.

If you have a question about this policy, or want to know what we hold, email our Data Protection Officer at steve@hireful.co.uk or write to us at 15-17 Strixton Manor Business Centre, Strixton, Northamptonshire, NN29 7PA.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
